Welcome to Dad's United, Crawley.
We are a group of dads (and children) who get together every other Saturday during school term time doing a variety of activities from arts and crafts to bouncy play and sports at various venues in the Crawley area.
Everyone is welcome ( grandfathers and any male carers too ) and we dont charge a fee or ask you to register in advance.
Our aim is to promote father and child quality time, to allow local fathers to get to know each other, and to ecourage constructive bonding time between father and child.
We have been running since November 2005, with growing numbers and an increasingly diverse range of activities (our average attendance has grown from 5 Dads and 8 children per session to over 12 Dads and 20 children per session.
We are mainly comprised of residents from Crawley, but we welcome any dads/male carers.
Attendance is entirely free and without obligation , but we always welcome any size of donation to help keep us going- Even a pound goes along way for us. We have an honesty box with us at every event if you are feeling like topping up our scarce funds.
As organisers we are all saftey checked (CRB etc) and run the scheme as professionally as we can but in a friendly and welcoming way. We are supported by Crawley Borough Council a couple of modest financial backers but we run as an independent team of enthusiastic volunteers.
As well as our diverse activities we have long term use of an allotment in Vulcan close and anyone interested in working on it is welcome to join us. We believe we are the only group of its kind in the town.
We publish our events on local notice boards and distribute a copy by post to our mailing list. Feel free to get in touch with any of us or just turn up at one of our venues.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
On behalf of Victor Biriotti ( Chairman) and the brilliant team.
